While it seems like humans have explored it all, from the tallest peaks to the deepest caves, there are still a few remote places left on our planet that have never been scientifically explored and where species have yet to be discovered and named. Often these places have enormous value in terms of biodiversity and could provide important clues as to how our planet evolved.
PAMS has a biological exploration program to undertake missions into unknown and untouched forests. Our team of explorers are tasked with describing the scientific value of the ecosystem, noting all the creatures living there…and who knows? They could even discover new species! This important information is then used by PAMS and our partners to facilitate the legal and physical protection of these newly explored areas.
